Connecting Communities Of The Upland South To Emergency Medical Supplies Education

Wild West Outdoor Adventure Foundation (WWOAF) exists to connect those in need of emergency training and basic medical supplies to the correct resources. Leveraging a combination of relationships with local providers and a boots on the ground approach WWOAF is able to source medical supplies from areas of over supply and transfer them to areas that are under supplied. The Wild West Outdoor Adventure Foundation (WWOAF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the critical gap between communities requiring emergency training and essential medical supplies, and the resources that can provide them. Operating with a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by remote and underserved areas, WWOAF employs a two-pronged approach to fulfill its mission.

Emergency Training Courses

WWOAF cultivates and leverages strong community ties with local providers, including healthcare professionals, emergency services, and training organizations. These partnerships are instrumental in identifying areas of need, assessing specific training requirements, and connecting communities with certified instructors, relevant educational programs, and essential medical supplies. Whether it’s basic first aid, wilderness survival skills, or advanced medical response, WWOAF works to ensure that individuals and communities are equipped with the knowledge, abilities, and necessary medical supplies to respond effectively to emergencies in outdoor environments.

Medical Supply Donation Program

A cornerstone of our mission is the collection and redistribution of vital medical supplies, with a special focus on items crucial for wilderness medicine and remote care. We recover new, gently-used, and unexpired items from hospitals, clinics, and individuals that might otherwise go to waste. These donations—ranging from mobility aids and durable medical equipment to specialized wound care and diagnostic tools needed for austere environments—are meticulously sorted by our volunteers. The supplies are then provided at no cost to our wilderness emergency training instructors, medical mission teams, and partner clinics, ensuring they have the essential tools to treat patients and save lives throughout the upland south.
