WWOAF Montgomery Is Serving The River Region Community
In Montgomery, we have a deep history of community action. The Wild West Outdoor Adventure Foundation (WWOAF) is launching in the River Region to continue that tradition of service. Our mission is to empower our community with life-saving skills, providing low-to-no-cost emergency and wilderness training so you can protect your family and explore Alabama’s natural beauty with confidence. We are new to the area, and we need your help to launch.
Become a Volunteer Emergency Training Instructor in the River Region
WWOAF empowers our community with hands-on emergency training courses. We are currently recruiting Montgomery-area instructors with valid certifications (EMT, Paramedic, First Aid/CPR Instructor) to help us teach these life-saving skills.
Explore Wilderness Training from the River to Tuskegee Forest
From the Alabama River to the trails of Tuskegee National Forest, the River Region is rich with outdoor opportunity. Our wilderness training is essential for Central Alabama’s boaters, hikers, and hunters. We offer courses from basic survival to advanced Wilderness First Responder (WFR), built for anyone who works or plays in the outdoors. We are actively seeking local non-profits and community groups in Montgomery to partner with to host these empowering courses.
Organize Supply & Gear Drives in Montgomery & Prattville
Our low-to-no-cost training is powered by resources from the community. We are looking for volunteer organizers in the Greater Montgomery Area to run supply drives for essential medical and outdoor recreation gear (like backpacks and hiking shoes). These donated items directly offset costs for our students and ensure our volunteer instructors have the tools they need to teach.
Join Our Volunteer Team in Montgomery
We are looking for dedicated, community-focused people to join our founding team. If you have a spirit of service and are ready to help, we want you on our team.
