WWOAF Atlanta Is Helping To Build Resilience In The Metro Area
In a metro as large as Atlanta, it’s easy to feel disconnected. The Wild West Outdoor Adventure Foundation (WWOAF) is launching in Atlanta to change that. Our mission is to empower our neighbors with life-saving skills, providing low-to-no-cost emergency and wilderness training. We’re new to the area and need your help to build our team and launch our programs.
Volunteer Instructors Needed in Fulton & DeKalb Counties
WWOAF provides practical emergency training, from basic First Aid to advanced courses. We are currently seeking Atlanta-area instructors with valid certifications (EMT, Paramedic, First Aid/CPR Instructor) to help us teach these life-saving skills.
Explore Wilderness Training from the Chattahoochee to the Mountains
With the Chattahoochee River on our doorstep and the North Georgia mountains just a short drive away, Atlanta is the perfect base for outdoor adventure. Our wilderness training is essential for the metro area’s hikers, paddlers, and climbers. We offer courses from basic survival to advanced Wilderness First Responder (WFR), built for anyone who works or plays in the outdoors. We are actively seeking local non-profits and community groups in Atlanta to partner with to host these empowering courses.
Run Medical Supply & Gear Drives Across Metro Atlanta
Our low-to-no-cost training is powered by resources from the community. We are looking for volunteer organizers in the Greater Atlanta Area to run supply drives for essential medical and outdoor recreation gear (like backpacks and hiking shoes). These donated items directly offset costs for our students and ensure our volunteer instructors have the tools they need to teach.
Join Our Founding Volunteer Team in Atlanta
This is a ground-floor opportunity to build a new resource for our community. We are looking for dedicated, capable people to join our founding team. If you’re ready to make a difference in Atlanta, we want to hear from you.
