WWOAF In Augusta Is Serving the CSRA Community
In Augusta and across the CSRA, we believe in neighbor helping neighbor. The Wild West Outdoor Adventure Foundation (WWOAF) is launching in Augusta to put that belief into action. Our mission is to empower our community with life-saving skills, providing low-to-no-cost emergency and wilderness training so you can protect your family and explore the region’s natural beauty with confidence. We are just getting started and need your help.
Teach Community Emergency Training in the CSRA
WWOAF empowers our community with hands-on emergency training. We are currently recruiting Augusta-area instructors with valid certifications (EMT, Paramedic, First Aid/CPR Instructor) to join our team and help teach these life-saving skills.
Explore Wilderness Training from the Savannah River to Phinizy Swamp
With the Savannah River at our back and natural treasures like Phinizy Swamp Nature Park, the CSRA is a prime spot for outdoor adventure. Our wilderness training is essential for the region’s hikers, paddlers, and anglers. We offer courses from basic survival to advanced Wilderness First Responder (WFR), built for anyone who works or plays in the outdoors. We are actively seeking local non-profits and community groups in Augusta to partner with to host these empowering courses.
Organize Supply & Gear Drives in Augusta & Richmond County
Our low-to-no-cost training is powered by resources from the community. We are looking for volunteer organizers in the Greater Augusta Area to run supply drives for essential medical and outdoor recreation gear (like backpacks and hiking shoes). These donated items directly offset costs for our students and ensure our volunteer instructors have the tools they need to teach.
Join Our Team in Augusta
We are looking for dedicated, community-minded individuals to join our founding volunteer team. If you’re ready to help, we want you on our team.
