WWOAF In Columbus Is Launching a New Mission for the Chattahoochee Valley
In Columbus, we have a proud tradition of service. The Wild West Outdoor Adventure Foundation (WWOAF) is launching in the Chattahoochee Valley to build on that tradition. Our mission is to empower our neighbors with life-saving skills, providing low-to-no-cost emergency and wilderness training. We are building our founding team and need your help to launch our programs.
Teach Life-Saving Skills in Muscogee County
WWOAF teaches practical, life-saving skills. We are currently seeking Columbus-area instructors with valid certifications (EMT, Paramedic, First Aid/CPR Instructor) to help us build our emergency training program and teach our community.
Explore Wilderness Training on the Chattahoochee and Beyond
Home to the longest urban whitewater course in the world, Columbus is a true adventure hub. Our wilderness training is essential for the region’s paddlers, hikers, and guides. We offer courses from basic survival to advanced Wilderness First Responder (WFR), built for anyone who works or plays in the outdoors. We are actively seeking local non-profits and community groups in the Chattahoochee Valley to partner with to host these empowering courses.
Organize Medical Supply & Gear Drives in Columbus
Our low-to-no-cost training is powered by resources from the community. We are looking for volunteer organizers in the Columbus area to run supply drives for essential medical and outdoor recreation gear (like backpacks and hiking shoes). These donated items directly offset costs for our students and ensure our volunteer instructors have the tools they need to teach.
Join Our Volunteer Team in Columbus
We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our founding team. If you’re ready to serve your community in a new way, we want to hear from you.
