WWOAF Savannah Is Providing Emergency Preparedness for the Coastal Empire
In Savannah and the Coastal Empire, we know the importance of preparedness. The Wild West Outdoor Adventure Foundation (WWOAF) is launching in Savannah to support that spirit. Our mission is to empower our community with life-saving skills, providing low-to-no-cost emergency and wilderness training so you can protect your family and explore Georgia’s coast with confidence. We are new to the area and need your help to build our team.
Teach Emergency Preparedness in the Hostess City
WWOAF provides hands-on emergency training to empower our neighbors. We are seeking Savannah-area instructors with current certifications (EMT, Paramedic, First Aid/CPR Instructor) to join our team and teach these life-saving skills.
Explore Wilderness Training from the Marshes to the Islands
With the salt marshes, barrier islands like Skidaway, and the Savannah River Wildlife Refuge at your doorstep, the Coastal Empire is an outdoor haven. Our wilderness training is essential for the region’s paddlers, anglers, and boaters. We offer courses from basic survival to advanced Wilderness First Responder (WFR), built for anyone who works or plays in coastal environments. We are actively seeking local non-profits and community groups in Savannah to partner with to host these empowering courses.
Organize Supply & Gear Drives in Savannah & Chatham County
Our low-to-no-cost training is powered by resources from the community. We are looking for volunteer organizers in the Greater Savannah Area to run supply drives for essential medical and outdoor recreation gear (like backpacks and hiking shoes). These donated items directly offset costs for our students and ensure our volunteer instructors have the tools they need to teach.
Join Our Volunteer Team in Savannah
This is an opportunity to build a new resource for the coast. We are looking for capable, dedicated people to join our team. If you’re ready to help your neighbors, we want you on our team.
