WWOAF Is On An Emergency Preparedness Mission for Greenville And The Upstate
In Greenville and the Upstate, we’re building a vibrant community. The Wild West Outdoor Adventure Foundation (WWOAF) is launching in Greenville to help make that community safer and more resilient. Our mission is to empower our neighbors with life-saving skills, providing low-to-no-cost emergency and wilderness training so you can explore the Blue Ridge with confidence. We need your help to build our team.
Volunteer Instructors Needed in the Upstate
WWOAF teaches practical, life-saving skills, from basic First Aid/CPR to advanced courses. We are currently recruiting Greenville-area instructors with valid certifications (EMT, Paramedic, First Aid/CPR Instructor) to help us build our emergency training program and teach our community.
Explore Wilderness Training from Paris Mountain to the Blue Ridge
As the gateway to the Blue Ridge Escarpment, Greenville is a nationally-known hub for outdoor adventure. Our wilderness training is essential for the Upstate’s hikers, climbers, and paddlers. We offer courses from basic survival to advanced Wilderness First Responder (WFR), built for anyone who works or plays on the trails of Paris Mountain or the waters of Lake Jocassee. We are actively seeking local non-profits and community groups in Greenville to partner with to host these empowering courses.
Organize Medical Supply & Gear Drives in Greenville County
Our low-to-no-cost training is powered by resources from the community. We are looking for volunteer organizers in the Greenville-Spartanburg area to run supply drives for essential medical and outdoor recreation gear (like backpacks and hiking shoes). These donated items directly offset costs for our students and ensure our volunteer instructors have the tools they need to teach.
Join Our Volunteer Team in Greenville
This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact! We are looking for dedicated, community-minded individuals to join our founding volunteer team. If you’re ready to help your neighbors, we want to hear from you.
