WWOAF Is Serving Rock Hill, York County & the Catawba Region
In Rock Hill and York County, we believe in community-first solutions. The Wild West Outdoor Adventure Foundation (WWOAF) is launching in our area to do just that. Our mission is to empower our community with life-saving skills, providing low-to-no-cost emergency and wilderness training so you can protect your family and explore the Catawba region with confidence. We are new to the area and need your help to launch.
Teach Emergency Skills in York County
WWOAF teaches practical emergency courses, from Basic First Aid/CPR to advanced skills, to empower our neighbors. We are actively seeking Rock Hill-area instructors with current certifications (EMT, Paramedic, First Aid/CPR Instructor) to join our team and teach these life-saving skills.
Explore Wilderness Training on the Catawba River and Beyond
With the Catawba River, Lake Wylie, and nearby state parks, the Rock Hill area is a haven for outdoor activity. Our wilderness training is essential for the region’s paddlers, hikers, and boaters. We offer courses from basic survival to advanced Wilderness First Responder (WFR), built for anyone who works or plays in the outdoors. We are actively seeking local non-profits and community groups in York County to partner with to host these empowering courses.
Organize Supply & Gear Drives in Rock Hill & Fort Mill
Our low-to-no-cost training is powered by resources from the community. We are looking for volunteer organizers in the Rock Hill & Fort Mill area to run supply drives for essential medical and outdoor recreation gear (like backpacks and hiking shoes). These donated items directly offset costs for our students and ensure our volunteer instructors have the tools they need to teach.
Join Our Volunteer Team in Rock Hill
This is a new mission for our community, and you can be a part of it from day one. We are looking for capable, dedicated volunteers to form our founding team. If you’re ready to help your neighbors, we need you.
